AIADA Hires New Senior Grassroots and Advocacy Manager
Ashley Burch will oversee member advocacy and grassroots initiatives
Alexandria, VA — March 15, 2017 — The American International Automobile Dealers Association (AIADA) today announced the addition of Ashley Burch as its senior advocacy and grassroots manager. In this role, Burch will be responsible for maintaining and growing relationships between AIADA members and their legislators, managing the association’s annual Auto Summit, and representing the organization on Capitol Hill.
“Ashley’s experience running political programs and connecting members with the legislative process is what AIADA needs as we look to build our grassroots operation,” said AIADA president Cody Lusk. “I am happy to welcome her to our team and look forward to expanding our members’ advocacy footprint on Capitol Hill.”
Prior to joining AIADA, Burch was the director of political programs for the International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA). Burch joined IDFA in 2006 and was responsible for the daily management of the organization’s political action committee (PAC), grassroots network, and Get Out The Vote (GOTV) activities.
She also served as the main architect behind the annual fly-in, Advocacy Days, and annual Capitol Hill Ice Cream Party. Prior to joining IDFA, Burch worked for the American Hotel and Lodging Association and also has experience working for the National Propane Gas Association.
Burch holds a B.A. degree in international affairs, with a concentration in international politics, from The George Washington University. She lives with her husband in Alexandria, Virginia.
