AutoCon 2012 Was A Tremendous Success!
If you were one of the lucky dealers that attended the first-ever AutoCon event in early September, you got your money’s worth. Some of the top thought leaders in the automotive industry were there and handed out valuable insights into how to increase success and run a dealership.
As usual Carrie Hemphill and the folks at First Class Educators produced a great event for the AutoCon folks. Ralph Paglia and his crew that created this new event stuck to their commitment to do away with the pay-to-play speakers that pitch their wares at some of the other events. The information offered at AutoCon was solid, valuable, and not a thinly-disguised pitch. I think when the word gets out, AutoCon will move into position as the top auto dealer event behind the grand-daddy, NADA.
Dealer Marketing Magazine was proud to sponsor the first AutoCon event this year.
Brian Pasch hosted the Automotive Website Awards (AWA) at AutoCon. The categories and number of winners expanded this year and a number of companies won more than one award. You can see the list, in this issue, on page 21.
Be sure to check out the Special Section for the AWA Awards in next month’s November issue.
Also, don’t miss the Driving Sales Executive Summit to be held October 21-23, 2012 in Las Vegas at the Bellagio Hotel. Last year’s event was terrific, and this year’s keynote speaker is baseball great, Billy Beane–GM of the Oakland A’s, inspiration for the movie Moneyball starring Brad Pitt.
