Running a car dealership can be difficult. Buyers are never quite sure what they want, and for something so expensive and important, they tend to be unable to make up their mind. As a result, it’s very easy to lose customers to competing dealerships. But one way to really draw in potential customers and make them more inclined to buy from you rather than someone else, is by making them feel special. In some ways it seems obvious and in others it’s nothing short of ridiculous, but customers that feel like you actually care and have a personal interest in them will be happier to support you. Therefore, they are more willing to buy from your dealership, than a customer with no relationship with you whatsoever.

So how do you go about making your customers feel like superstars? When a customer comments on one of your posts, go ahead and write back. By taking the time to either answer their questions or respond to their ideas and thoughts, you are showing them that you care. Thereby making them feel special. You can even go ahead and follow their profiles. Then, instead of waiting for them to leave you a comment that you can respond to, you can go ahead and comment on the material that they post on their pages. This is an even better way to show that you care, because it means you actually take the time to get to know your followers and by reading their posts.

2. Incentive

A great way to show your customers you care about them is by offering giveaways, coupons or other free gifts. This will lead them to comment on your profile more and encourage them to continue their relationship with you by coming to your dealership and checking out your products.

3. Say Thank You

Everyone loves to be appreciated, and nothing shows appreciation more than a simple thank you. If a customer says something nice about you, leave them a simple “Thanks!” and they’ll be feeling like a million bucks. If they do a lot of business with you, tell them how much it means to you with a nice, hearty thank you.

4. Address Needs

Another good way to show your customers you care about them is by sharing information with them that they could benefit from, even though it does not relate to your own dealership.
