LotLinx Targets Vehicle Manufacturers; Hires Bardo Petersen as Vice President of OEM Sales
SAN FRANCISCO, CA.—(August 21, 2014)-LotLinx, developers of the first DeeplinkingTM automotive retailing technology platform, is pleased to announce the hiring of Bardo Petersen as vice president of OEM sales. Petersen has nearly three decades of experience in the automotive industry with top-name companies including Black Book, a division of Hearst Business Media Corporation, The Cobalt Group and Carfax.
In his new role, he will oversee business development and relationship management of automotive brands to drive aggressive adoption of the LotLinx Deeplinking platform, the first ever VIN-specific inventory advertising technology that directly links car shoppers from search engines and automotive research sites to the vehicle display pages (VDPs) on dealerships’ websites.
Petersen has a proven track record of creating enterprise partnerships with the largest brands in the industry. Most recently, he held the position of vice president of sales for Black Book, where he formed partnerships with General Motors, Ford, Toyota, BMW, Nissan, Hyundai, and others. Prior to Black Book, he served as director of new business development for The Cobalt Group where he was responsible for selling Cobalt dealer website services to General Motors. Before Cobalt, he held the position of director of new business development for Carfax, where he was directly responsible for creating over 200 Internet partnerships, including with all the major automotive portals.
“In all my years in the automotive industry I’ve never seen a product as revolutionary as LotLinx,” said Petersen. “This is a real game-changer for forward-thinking dealerships and OEMs, which will increase the number of shoppers that go to a dealer’s vehicle display pages, and ultimately reduce the cost to the dealer of getting low-funnel customers into the showroom. I look forward to introducing customers to this phenomenal technology, and to working with an executive team that has such deep and broad industry experience.”
“Bardo excels at creating enduring relationships with great brands, and his development skills will help us expand into this exciting market,” said Dean Evans, LotLinx CEO. “We’re very pleased to have a proven industry veteran join our team and we look forward to having Bardo on board to help take LotLinx to the next level of growth.”
