NADA 2016: Vegas, Baby! Are You In?



December is a great time to retool and get ready for the next year at your dealership. If you agree that better organization and better processes will allow you to improve your sales revenue, your service department revenue, and your overall business, then planning is the key to success.

Take a stab at planning in December. We recommend that you review your marketing from 2015. What worked, what didn’t work, and how many months did you enter the month without a plan? How many times last year did you scramble to come up with marketing at the last minute?

How diligent were you at reviewing how the previous month’s advertising worked? Did you examine the metrics on your online efforts? Did your inventory, both new and used, fit the needs of your customers?

How could you improve next year? Are there any processes that are out-of-date, or that have been replaced by more efficient online or digital products?

One way to move your dealership forward is to plan to visit the NADA Convention in 2016. Set aside the dates March 31 through April 3 to make the trip to Las Vegas. Go to Vegas with a list of things you need to improve at your dealership and search for products or services or vendors that can fix what’s broken. You’ll see 600 exhibitors, 50 workshop topics, and 100 sessions. December is the time to book your airfare and your hotel stay. Don’t wait until March and then panic to get it done.
