Summit Resources Launches LoyaltyCash™ to Help Automotive Dealers Boost Customer Retention

Program’s cash incentives keep customers returning to dealership for sales and service

ATLANTA, GA – Sept. 16, 2010  – Recognizing automotive dealerships usually expend more marketing dollars acquiring new customers than retaining existing patrons, Summit Resources launched LoyaltyCash™, an innovative program that keeps an auto dealer’s customers coming back month after month, year after year.

LoyaltyCash – which is free for customers – gives dealers a competitive advantage by rewarding customers for repeat business. It is a fully functioning web-based program that tracks every dealer transaction, from new and used car sales to parts and service purchases. The more customers spend at a dealership, the more LoyaltyCash they earn to apply toward future transactions, including service or a vehicle purchase.

“Based on early results, we are confident that LoyaltyCash increases repeat business and is equally beneficial for dealers and their clients,” said Jonathan Lucenay, CEO of Summit Resources, LLC.  “Dealers like the program because it is highly cost-effective and easily integrates with their databases.”

An attractive feature for dealers is that LoyaltyCash is extremely easy to use and lets customers enroll themselves. Most automotive loyalty programs require finance managers or service advisors to go through a time-consuming setup process for every customer – time that could have been used selling other products such as vehicle service contracts and service work. LoyaltyCash eliminates that problem.

“LoyaltyCash is cost-effective and efficient, and is helping drive up our sales and service retention rates,” said Michael Brown, vice president of operations for Atlantic Auto Group in Long Island, New York.

Mike Breyfogle, general manager of Tempe Dodge Chrysler, Jeep, Kia in Tempe, Arizona agrees. "I’ve always believed a well-managed loyalty program would benefit our dealership and improve customer retention. Several years ago, we developed our own loyalty program but quickly found it was a nightmare to administer and didn’t produce the results we wanted. The Summit software is simple to use and automatically tracks customers’ entire repair order history, how much they spend with us and their LoyaltyCash balance. Our customers appreciate the additional savings and like the fact they can access their service records 24/7.”

Hundreds of Tempe Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, Kia customers are signing up for the program every month and many have already redeemed rewards for discounted products and services.
LoyaltyCash is scalable and fully customizable – meaning dealers decide what percentage of cash to assign as customer rewards based on their individual business models.

LoyaltyCash complements a series of proprietary products offered by Summit Resources based on highly-sophisticated demographic and behavioral analytics unique to the automotive dealer industry. These products give Summit the ability to identify likely buyers in a market and offer “guaranteed sales” – dealers can order sales just as they would order inventory and only pay for closed sales. More often than not, dealers working with Summit exceed their sales goals.
