Buying a new vehicle is an exciting time, and exploring a vehicle’s potential upgrades is usually the most fun part of buying for consumers. Special rims, custom upholstery, stylish navigation screens, extra lights, and high-end wipers abound to inspire drivers’ imaginations and improve the overall driving experience.
One feature most buyers don’t consider, however, is window film (tint). After all, people often don’t notice it, and many are unaware of the numerous benefits it has to offer. These benefits make great selling points to encourage customers to add window film when purchasing their new vehicle.
- Protecting passengers: Window film helps protect a vehicle and its passengers in the event of an accident. The film helps to hold shattered glass together, greatly reducing the chance of injury caused by shattered flying glass. No matter how experienced a driver may be, the road can be an unpredictable place, and it never hurts to have an added layer of protection.
- Battling UV rays: UV rays are damaging and distracting. There’s little that can be done to block them—unless a vehicle’s windows are tinted. Modern window film treatments can block up to 99% of UV rays and offer infrared heat rejection of up to 92%. Imagine being able to guard against the harmful side effects of UV ray exposure like skin cancer. About 53% of skin cancers occur on the left side of the body—the driver’s side. This danger is particularly present for truck drivers, who spend most of their work day on the road.
- Ensuring comfort: The glaring sun can be a bother for drivers and passengers. Sunglasses and sun visors certainly help, but window tint is one of the best ways to dramatically reduce discomfort. Tinted windows will make it easier to focus when driving, and with less sunlight pouring through the glass, customers will be able to spend less time blasting the AC.
- Maintaining Interiors: Now that the driver and passengers are covered, what about the vehicle’s interior? While window tint is protecting travelers, it’s also protecting the look and feel of the upholstery of the vehicle. What’s more, the tint will also make the exterior stand out by giving the vehicle a unique style.
For most people, personal vehicles are a part of everyday life. They’re fun to ride in, exciting to work on, cool to look at, and most importantly, they safely deliver us to where we need to go. To help your customers get the most out of their new vehicle, go beyond custom paint and detailing. Sell them on window film for a much safer, much more stylish ride.
