Mike Helgesen joined AutoFi in 2020, bringing his long history of dealer experience to the San Francisco-headquarted company named by named by IBS Intelligence among the “5 promising fintechs disrupting the automotive market.” AutoFi is a financial technology company transforming the way cars are bought and sold. The company’s fintech platform provides all the tools dealers need to streamline and complete customer vehicle sales online. Additionally, its suite of APIs offer lending as a service (LaaS) no matter where or how the sale begins. The AutoFi network of lenders includes Chase Auto, Bank of America, Santander Consumer USA, and many more.
Mike previously spent more than three years with Cox Automotive, most recently as senior divisional manager for northeast and enterprise partnerships. He created a new Cox division to improve retail performance and operational effectiveness of digital retail applications for over 175 dealer groups, OEM partners, and major account groups. Prior to Cox, Mike served as chief operating officer of Joe Rizza Ford and of Grossinger Auto Group. Earlier in his career, he spent nearly 17 years with KIA Motors Americas, beginning as a district sales manager in Chicago and rising to become director of Central Region operations.
